Wednesday, June 1 2011 / 19:30 – 22:30 (incl. interval)
The Back Room Cinema, The Montpelier, Choumert Road, Peckham SE15 4AR
FREE

On Wednesday 1st June, we (KIOSK) will begin our programme as guest curators at the Back Room Cinema at The Montpelier – this screening of The Intruder will be the first in a series of monthly screenings of films that present beautiful, dramatic landscapes in micro geographical and philosophical contexts.

Based loosely on a wonderful essay of the same name, by Jean-Luc Nancy, Claire Denis’ ‘The Intruder’ (L’Intrus) explores violation of the self and space, placement / replacement / displacement, positionality and adoption
/ adaption through the very delicate mechanics of human sentiment.
